Gal Nadir Joins Compass Advisers in London as Managing Director Focused on Originating, Structuring, and Executing Strategic Transactions and Acquisitions
LONDON, January 3, 2013 – Compass Advisers announced today that Gal Nadir will join the Firm in London as a Managing Director. He focuses on originating, structuring, and executing strategic transactions and acquisitions involving private and public companies, assets and businesses.
Throughout his career over the past decade in London, and previously in New York, Mr. Nadir developed a broad network of relationships with European and U.S. companies, management teams, private equity funds and family offices.
Select transaction experience includes the €1.25bn sale of BauBecon, the €550m sale of Mach to Syniverse, the $1.4bn equity and debt investment in Related Companies by a consortium involving Goldman Sachs, MSD Capital, Mubadala and Olayan, the reverse merger of Reis and Wellsford, the $530m sale of America First Apartment Investors, and the $1.4bn sale of the Town & Country Trust to Morgan Stanley, Onex and Sawyer.
Prior to joining Compass, Mr. Nadir worked with Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, where he led teams executing transactions in Europe and in the US. Previously, he was with Lazard Frères & Co., Compass and the law firm of Gross, Hodak & Co.
Mr. Nadir holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Master of Law (LLM) from Tel Aviv University and a joint undergraduate degree in law (LLB) and accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University. He is a certified attorney-at-law.
